Too Lazy to Wash Off Your Makeup? Then These Cleansers Are For YOU

Too Lazy to Wash Off Your Makeup? Then These Cleansers Are For YOU

I wear makeup almost every day and a waterproof eyeliner and mascara are an essential part of my makeup. Now, with my busy schedule that almost always runs late into evenings, I sometimes don’t have the energy to deep clean my face with soap and water. But I have acne prone skin which means I can’t sleep with my makeup on either, so I’ve come up with a cleansing routine that has worked for me and is literally sitting on my bed side table!

I first clean my face with a cotton pad soaked in a bi-phase or an oil based remover, this takes off ALL of my water proof eye makeup as well as foundation. Because the skin is quite oily at this point with still some makeup residue, I go over my face with a micellar soaked cotton pad. Those who don’t know, Micellar Water is a cleansing water that works to remove makeup without any rubbing or rinsing. Micelle technology works like a magnet to attract and remove dirt to deeply cleanse the skin. This routine is only for those super lazy nights and literally takes two minutes.

Now on to my preferred removers…. I’ve long since been hooked on the Sephora oil based remover and the Bioderma micellar water but these are both on the pricer side in my opinion especially since I go thru a bottle of each every month.

Nivea was kind enough to send me their new line of makeup removers and cleansers and I was pleasantly surprised once I tested them out.

The Double effects eye makeup remover is a fabulous bi phase makeup remover and such a steal compared to the Sephora one I use. The micellar water from Nivea is so good! It’s 10x better than the Garnier one and just as effective as the Bioderma one. It comes in an impressive 400 ml bottle and cost a fraction of what Bioderma costs. The most impressive product of this line is a makeup removing face wash. This will take ALL your makeup off while you wash your face. Isn’t this line a lazy girl’s best friend!

Now that you all know how lazy I am, let me know what your favorite makeup removers are?

Thanks for this, it is a very good review, I also wear makeup almost every day , eyeliner & mascara are an essential part of my makeup. I am currently using Garnier Micellar water for face and Garnier eye make up remover… I also tried Sephora and Neutrogena eye make up remover, but what I have noticed it that even i soak cotton pad generously with these products and keep them lightly pressed on my eyelid for the make up to melt, some residue is still left…..after I wash my face I can see the rest is it is on my lower eyelid which I clean again…..please advise.

I will surely try this tip to begin with oil based make up remover and then go in with micellar water.

    Thanks

      Hi Zakiya,
The key is to use an oil based remover first so all the waterproof makeup gets off easily and then follow with micellar water. Try this routine, I think you’ll like it😘
