Now I came across this foundation by mere chance. I was a part a makeup shoot for Paese cosmetics at their headquarters about a month ago. The model for the shoot had oily/ combination skin so I chose the foundation that claimed to be matte on the packaging. By the time I was done with the makeup look, I was already in love with the foundation! I had to have it and the guys at Paese were kind enough to color match me and give me a bottle to try for myself.
Paese is a Polish cosmetics company and I had used other products from this brand about a year ago but never the foundation so I was pleasantly surprised and sort of kicking myself for not trying their foundation range earlier myself.
I use this in shade 20M. I am NC 25 in MAC Foundation and this foundation matches my skin tone. I absolutely LOVEEE this foundation.
The packaging is luxurious. It comes in a glass bottle and a black pump attached. There is clear cap that closes with a satisfying click.
The texture of the foundation is very gel like and a little bit goes a long way. It’s a medium to full cover foundation but still very skin like. I can still see my skin see through it.
I evens out the skin-tone without feeling cakey or heavy. I absolutely love how it almost feels so natural on the skin. Even thou it claims to be a matte foundation, I find this to be a demi matte in finish instead. It is slightly on the glowy/ dewy side.
It photographs very well and looks just fine even with flash photography.
It has a fragrance to it that kinda subsides after a while. I don’t like fragranced makeup products but I don’t mind the fragrance of this one.
It lasts all day long without fading or getting patchy.
I have normal/ oily skin and it does a pretty good job at keeping my face matte for at least 6 hours. My skin looked slightly shiny after the 6 hour mark. I mostly don’t have to bother with powdering my face too often because I bake my foundation on the shiniest part of my face.
As always I buff it in with my beauty blender for that airbrush finish.
It does not accentuate pores or settle in fine lines, is oil free and did not break me out.
Overall, it is an absolutely fabulous foundation for day to day or even evening wear. I love the little natural glow it adds to the skin. I’d recommend it to those with normal, combination and oily skin.
