How to get that ethereal glow…

How to get that ethereal glow…

Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders

If there’s a product that has created some serious beauty buzz over the last year, it definitely has been the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. These powders are much-hyped finishing powders that allegedly mimic different types of lighting. Because they are all super different, it can be really difficult to decide which one is actually going to make you look like a glowing, lit-from-within goddess. After falling in love with Dim light, I thought; why not see what a little bit of dim light looks like on me…

Dim Light is a soft beige shade, which is almost matte with satin finish that creates a soft, incandescent candlelit glow.

Most Ambient Lighting Powders are recommended to use all over the face.

The formula is soft and super finely-milled. It’s definitely not too shimmery or frosted. It gives the complexion a striking, glow from within look without taking it too far. It adds a natural looking radiance without looking like a disco ball. It illuminates the face, rather than emphasizing pores like some highlighters can.

The lasting power was good, too. I got around 8 hours of wear out of it. Because it isn’t too frosty to begin with, fading of the product won’t look as obvious.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder has been a true joy for me so far. Dim light is great for giving the complexion a beautiful, soft radiance. The Ambient Lighting powders are fantastic. I might go as far as to say that I think everyone needs one in their collection. They might be expensive, but they’re definitely worth the buzz.

I have received so many compliments on my ‘glowing’ skin since I started using this product but it’s really the product that gives off that glow.

They come in 6 variants and each has been described as below:

Ethereal Light is an opalescent sheer, cool white powder that mimics a moonlit glow – even in broad daylight
Diffused Light is a soft, warm, pale yellow powder that conceals redness and gives skin clarity – like a soft ray of morning light
Dim Light is a neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with the perfect balance of warm and cool tones
Mood Light is a soft, sheer lavender pink powder that mimics the softest most forgiving light and reveals your brightest complexion
Luminous Light is a champagne pearl powder that creates a soft, incandescent candlelit glow – day or night
Radiant Light is a sun-kissed golden beige powder that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth, and also extends a summer glow.

      Hi Vajiha,
      Thank you for the love!

After I’m done with my foundation and face powder, I use this as a finishing powder for an added glow to the skin. I use the shade Dim light but it is a tad bit dark for me.

      Hope this helped!
