One thing from my collection I wanted to blog about today was the NEW Hydra Veil Rehydrating Gel which everyone has been talking about.

Hydra Veil re-hydrating gel has been known to ‘Create a radiant finish with Hydra Veil’s instantly rehydrating gel formula. It provides the optimal base for your make-up. It comes in a 30ml tub. I have been testing this product every day since I got it. So here is why I love it:

It comes with a little spoon for you to scoop the product out, much more hygienic than fingers.

It completely stops foundation and make- up from creasing, fading, caking or separating. It’s excellent if you have trouble with make- up creasing under your eyes or separating around your nose and best of all it helps to re- texturize your skin, no matter how uneven it is. Foundation won’t cling to dry patches or blemished areas.

The formula is a dream to work with and not like a typical silicone-y primer. This is water based and is quite jelly-like. I was amazed at how little product you actually need to cover your whole face which is a big plus. It feels gorgeous to apply, so refreshing and lightweight – it really feels as though moisture is being injected back into my skin and there is no residue left on the skin whatsoever.

After leaving my skin to drink it up for a minute or two, I go in with my foundation as normal. I have to say I’m impressed with the difference it makes. It improves the finish of my base, nothing jaw dropping but I struggle to get a decent finish with my dry (sometimes flakey) skin so any improvement gets a thumbs up from me. It definitely helps my foundation last longer, without a doubt. I’ve tried it out with many different formulas of foundation and it just works. Every time! It holds the finish for longer so I’m not left with patchy foundation at the end of the day/night.
