Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation

Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation

The Queen of eyebrows Anastasia Beverly Hills has been killing the beauty game. From multiple brow products to contour kits, and lip glosses. A few months ago she debut her glow kits to rave reviews from makeup lovers. Just a couple of weeks ago, she dropped her highly anticipated foundation sticks and I knew I had to try it.

This product has .35oz of Product for $25. This foundation is made and marketed towards oily skin. I didn’t know this when I bought it but when using it you can tell right away that this is a HELL NO for dry skin. This is actually quite easy to blend out with either a beauty sponge or a flat top kabuki though I prefer the flat top kabuki, its much quicker and I find the finish to be more even. If you have dry skin DO NOT buy this. Below is what I have found to be the perfect amount. Any less and the coverage is too sheer and anymore the foundation will rub off.

The product wore VERY well on my skin and I only set the t-zone with a little translucent powder, no baking! I got a slight sheen throughout the day but nothing that broke up the makeup or made it wear off quicker.

If you are a dryer skin type but choose to try this, you might want to mist your face with a hydrating spray throughout the day to keep it looking smooth.

I’d use this foundation for anything from every-day wear (apply over a great moisturizer or facial oil for a lighter coverage), studio work, a long day or night out because it looked just as great when I went to take it off as it did when first applied.

Overall I’m super impressed with this foundation and it’s really what I’ve been looking for in a stick foundation. Gorgeous packaging, great staying power and an incredible color range.

The only thing that might not work for some is that the formula is a dry one that works best on oily skin but like I said I think with the right prep/skincare, which could be easily remedied.

That being said this is in no way a full coverage or special occasion foundation. This is more of an easy going day time foundation. I use it when I literally have 10 minutes to get ready and can’t spend time buffing and blending my makeup.

I bought two shades that I thought might be best fit for my skin color. Warm Natural being my exact shade (outer perimeter of the face) and Warm Porcelain as a highlight shade (the center of the face). As you can see in the picture, this gives my face a very soft and natural contour without any extra effort.

I have also attached a shade guide picture taken from Anastasia Beverly Hills website for better understanding.
