Dior Illuminating Face Powder… Worth the price tag??

Dior Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite

Now you know how I love my Hourglass Ambient Lightning powders for those luminous, lit from within glow. So when Dior came out with a similar product in their Autumn/ Winter 2015 collection, I was ALL OVER IT!

Part of the reason I wasn’t keen on this collection, was the crazy layout of the logo. I suppose Dior is adopting a bit of a younger, more playful vibe, but I just can’t get behind it. For me, a brand like Dior should embody elegance and chic. Let MAC or Urban Decay or Stila do the fun, funky designs. The people who’d buy Dior want something “normal”

Dior are experts in the art of the nude complexion – a natural no-makeup look. It continues to enrich its Diorskin Nude range this season with an illuminating face powder that claims to leaves a glowy finish. The product also claims to be a single shade that suits and enhances any skin tone with a barely-there feel. It has luminous finish without the shine promises radiant beauty with a natural glow.

Now the problem for me in this product is that for some reason it gave me dry patches. I did not look glowy or healthy. I’m not  too sure of what the product did for me. Don’t get me wrong, it swatched beautifully on my hand but once applied to the face, it was virtually undetectable. As much as I wanted to love this product, it was just slightly disappointing.

Available at:  Bloomingdales, Sephora or and Dior counter for $45
