My Verdict On The Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette

My Verdict On The Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette

Suffice to say, the beauty world has been in a frenzy since Huda Kattan announced the release of her “3D highlight palette”. A little back story on how I got my grubby little mitts on this… I won the Sephora Middle East competition on Instagram 2 days before the official release of the palette, the prize being a Huda Beauty 3D highlighting palette personally signed by Huda herself along with a meet and greet and a picture! Unfortunately the event got cancelled an hour before it was scheduled to start. I was so bummed out! As I picked up the palette at the Sephora counter, the lady who gave it to me asked me to not take it out the bag or someone might ‘snatch’ it from me! Lol! So here are my two cents on this baby.

Pink Sands Edition and Golden Sands Edition are the two highlighter palettes that she came up with. I got the Pink Sands palette. The Pink Sands Palette is better suited for those with fair to medium skin tones, as it has all pearly whites and pinky highlighters which compliments pale/fair skin tones. And the Golden Sands Palette is made for medium to dark skin tones, where it has more golden toned highlighters.

These Highlighters are incorporated with melted strobe formula, and that she hasn’t used any glitter in creating her palettes. This gives an idea that they melt into the skin upon application and they do not look powdery or flakey. You can use any of these alone, but they’re meant to be used all together.

I absolutely love how this highlighter looks on me. There is no glitter in it whatsoever. The fact that I can blend my contour, with my highlight and my blush and all with the same pallet is amazing. The only other highlighting kit I own is the Anastasia Nicole Guerriero that was the big highlight released right before the 3D highlight palette. As much as I love it, my only concern is the glitter in it that goes everywhere when used with a fan brush. That’s not the case with the Huda Beauty 3D highlighting palette.
